Olympus Japan and Olympus Europe are offering a check + repair service for a problem with the E-M5's display bezel. The so called bezel cracks have been discussed a lot on various websites, and after investigating, Olympus has confirmed the issue.

You can display a grid on the rear display or in the EVF, seems simple and obvious, but Olympus found a way to make it a bit less obvious...

Continuous AF on the E-M5 is somewhat different from C-AF on a typical DSLR. There are a few things you can do to make it work more reliable, and some considerations to make for using it.
Using AF target areas

Letting the camera pick an AF area, using the center AF area and then recomposing, or alternatively using the arrow buttons to select an AF area.. Seems simple enough and not something for a howto. However, there is much more to it.

Do you end up reconfiguring your camera for different purposes? Having to go through the menus and control panel to check if everything is as it should be? You can save upto 4 configurations using the MySet presets
Enabling/disabling the EVF sensor

Next to the EVF is a sensor that can be used to automatically switch between the EVF and live-view. Sometimes this auto switching is very nice, but at times it isn't and you'd want to disable it.
